Peter Miller | Principal Attorney
Pete Miller focuses his practice in the areas of Terrorism Litigation, Products Liability, Aviation Law, and all areas relating to catastrophic injuries.
Pete spent over 10 years as a Navy Fighter Pilot prior to studying law under the Virginia Law Reader Program. He flew numerous combat missions in Bosnia and Iraq, receiving the Naval Air Medal for his efforts. After leaving the service, he flew commercially for a major U.S. airline and to date, has over 10,000 flight hours.
Since 2008, Mr. Miller has represented victims of the 1998 bombings of United States Embassies in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in suits against Iran and its ancillary agencies for their material support of the terrorists that carried out those attacks. He was instrumental in securing $8.68 Billion in damages for the first 567 plaintiffs, and he continues to represent additional victims, first responders, and their family members today.
Mr. Miller has served on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committees or as Plaintiffs’ Liaison Counsel in several products liability and pharmaceutical consolidated mass tort suits:

Mr. Miller’s past experience with multi-district drug litigations began with MDL 1203 In Re diet drug products liability litigation. Mr. Miller conducted several depositions of prescribing and treating doctors for the lead trial group and was heavily involved in the initial trials that led to a 9-figure settlement for the firms over 5,000 FenPhen claims. Mr. Miller has also represented clients in the following MDLs:

In addition, Mr. Miller was appointed the overseer of a Qualified Settlement Fund for the processing and settlement of over 900 Zyprexa claims involved in MDL 1596.
Pete attended Virginia Tech where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. He then studied in the Virginia Law Reader Program, a rigorous self study program designed for busy professionals.
Pete became a member of the Virginia Bar in 2002, and is an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
